Who I am

A lifelong waterman. Former national-title swim coach turned surf coach, with over three decades in the salt.

The ocean has always felt like home. It’s where I reset, where I reconnect, and where I feel most alive. I’m often more at ease in the lineup than on dry land and that connection comes with respect. For the sea, for the coastline, for the wild places that give us so much.

I do my best to leave every beach better than I found it, that responsibility runs deep. Looking after our oceans and wild spaces isn’t a trend for me — it’s just part of who I am and how I move through the world.

Time in the water changes us. The noise fades. The body relaxes. Stress drops. You breathe deeper. Things slow down. That feeling shapes the way I coach. Of course we work on technique and progression but we also tune into the rhythm of the ocean, the conditions, and what’s happening in your body and mind.

Surfing isn’t just about riding waves. It’s about connection.

And that’s what I aim to share.
